Cookie Policy

Cookies are small files stored on your device when you visit a website. This policy explains how they are used here.

Cookies we use

This website is designed to be light on tracking. We use two categories:

Essential (always on) — browser storage that remembers your cookie choice and keeps the research form working, for example noting which page you came from so we can see which guides lead to responses. This information stays in your browser for the current visit and does not identify you.
Analytics (optional, off by default) — Google Analytics cookies, used only if you accept them.

We do not use advertising or marketing cookies.

Analytics

With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are useful and how visitors reach and use the Tell Us What Happened form. It sets cookies named _ga and _ga_<ID>, which last up to two years and distinguish one browser from another. Google Analytics collects information such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site. We do not send names, email addresses, claim details or form answers to Google.

Google Analytics does not load, and no information is sent to Google, until you choose “Accept analytics cookies” or turn analytics on under “Manage preferences”. Google’s information on how it uses this data is available at how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Giving, refusing or withdrawing consent

When you first visit, a banner lets you accept analytics cookies, reject optional cookies or manage your preferences. Your choice is remembered in your browser. You can change it or withdraw consent at any time using the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of every page. If you withdraw consent, analytics stops immediately and the Google Analytics cookies are removed from your browser.

Managing cookies

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect how parts of this website behave.

Changes

We may update this policy as the website develops. The current version is always published on this page.
